VOLUNTEERS

(See details on current positions below)

At Australian Families for Children we really value our Volunteers.

This association was founded by volunteers, is maintained by volunteers and supported by ingenious fund raising initiatives - all from folk who have caught the dream of making a difference in the world for children who need us to care.

We are reminded again how valuable our supporters are because you are the men, women and children who confirm and endorse our goals and dreams. By sustained volunteer support, it has become possible for AFC to achieve and maintain a unique place in intercountry adoption in NSW.

Volunteers are the life-blood of AFC.

We take this opportunity to acknowledge you all and encourage others to consider some of the rewarding ways of serving our children and families.

There is an important place for all skills, from professionals who share their experience to the willing who commit to learning new ones.

AFC touches a wide variety of human and family need. Whether you have good interpersonal skills, professional training, administrative experience or are wanting to explore an untapped urge to make a difference somewhere, in AFC you could find you have something to contribute.

Some of the skills we can use: administrative, language teacher, ESL teacher, language pathologist, social worker, psychologist, translator, doctor, philanthropist, graphic designer, accountant, lawyer, lobbyist, those experienced in funding application, and drafting manuals.

AFC is building the best intercountry adoption service possible. We don’t want just your financial endorsement, we earnestly value the contribution of yourself in helping train and support families. Families that make a lifetime commitment to nurture children who would otherwise have no family of their own.
